Our History

The hotel located at 205 St-Joseph boulevard (in the Hull sector) was built in 1989. The project was born thanks to a regrouping of business people from Gatineau. Its name, Auberge de la Gare, was chosen in two stages : Auberge, for its personal and cordial approach in a calm and peaceful environment. De la Gare, for the proximity of Hull's old train station (demolished today) as well as the old tourist station of the steam train Hull-Chelsea-Wakefield (moved today in the industrial park of Hull). Since, the vision of the company evolved to eventually become a boutique-hotel while continuing to offer a personalized service and the ultimate guest experience.

The select hotelier club

On the 14th of March 2006, eleven hotels from the province of Quebec announced the creation of a group of hotels called the Sélect Hôtelier Club. The purpose of this Club is to favour the corporate guests who travel around the province. The group offers to its guests a member card on which the guests can accumulate ten nights at a regular price and then have a free night, at any of these eleven hotels. This group could become a real hotel chain soon. The group presently consists of thirteen hotels. The participant hotels are the Hotel-motel Hauterive, in Baie-Comeau, the Hostellerie Baie Bleue, in Carleton, the Congress Centre and Hotel La Saguenéenne, in Chicoutimi, the Auberge de la gare, in Gatineau, the WelcomINNS, in Boucherville, the Hotel Le Cofortel, in Ancienne-Lorette, the hotel Le Navigateur, in Rimouski, the Auberge Benedict Arnold, in St-Georges de Beauce, the hotel Les Mouettes, in Sept-Îles, the Auberge Escapade Inn, in Shawinigan, the Congress Centre and Hotel Forestel, in Val d’Or, le Chateau Logue, in Maniwaki, and Auberge au Petit Berger, in Charelevoix.
